Important Questions You May Have in Mind

What does “Novare” mean?

Derived from Latin, “Novare” means to innovate or make new, which is exactly what we do for each of our clients. With a unique and fresh perspective, our goals is for you to feel confident in the management of your wealth.

Why should I choose Novare Capital over another investment advisor?

We offer a customized approach to investment management that integrates cash flow planning and estate plan review. You’ll work directly with a relationship manager who acts as your personal CFO, every step of the way.

Who does Novare Capital work with?

While our services are best suited to investors with portfolios greater than $500,000, we work well with people who have been through or are currently experiencing life transitions or milestones. Our clients include professionals, doctors, attorneys, small business owners, etc. who are interested in maximizing the knowledge associated with their wealth.

What can I expect from my first meeting with Novare Capital?

During our first meeting we want to learn about you. Our financial advisors will listen carefully to understand your goals and objectives. We will then share with you our personal backgrounds, firm philosophy and investment process as well as how we believe we can help you achieve your goals. We ask potential clients to take their time to consider all their options to determine if Novare Capital Management is the right fit for them. Our intention is to have long-term relationships with our clients.

What is Novare Capital’s investment approach?

Our primary objective is to preserve, protect and grow assets through a diversified approach to investment management. Each portfolio is distinct in its design and addresses your individual goals and objectives. We work to ensure that any recommended investments are worthy of your capital.

Will the Novare Capital team help me determine if I have enough money to retire?

We combine cash flow planning with investment management in order to address your most pressing concerns. Our team of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professionals will create a cash flow plan analysis that organizes the details of your current situation as well as projections for the future. This analysis is one of the tools used to determine the appropriate asset allocation for your portfolio.

What Makes an RIA Firm Different?

A Registered Investment Advisor, or RIA, is a professional advisory firm that offers advice related to investment management. As an RIA, we have a fiduciary duty to put your interests before ours and provide guidance solely with you in mind. We are never compensated by a commission or transaction, which means we are only motivated to do what’s in your best interest, always.

How is Novare Capital compensated?

As a fee-only investment advisory firm, we earn a fee based on a percentage of the assets under management. This arrangement aligns our interests with yours and means that we succeed when you succeed.

Will I have online access to my accounts?

You will be able to access your account information using the secured website of your custodian. We use nationally recognized custodians such as Charles Schwab & Co., and Raymond James. We utilize Envestnet/Tamarac for integrative client reporting.

How are my assets protected?

Your assets will be placed with a qualified custodian that is a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) such as Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and Raymond James. Novare Capital Management does not accept or maintain custody of any client accounts. The use of independent custodians provides a reassuring system of checks and balances. Our clients’ money is not held by the same firm who advises them about how to invest it.
